About Us

Ihsan California is a youth-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to nurturing a generation of Muslims who lead with ihsan — excellence — in faith, character, and service.

What began as a small college initiative has grown into a statewide movement uniting students and young professionals across Southern California. Through community-driven events, partnerships, and initiatives, Ihsan California serves as a platform for young Muslims to connect, collaborate, and grow together.

Our mission is simple: to unite and inspire the youth of today to build a better tomorrow — grounded in faith, driven by purpose, and committed to service to the ummah.

Our programs are designed to inspire creativity, foster critical thinking, and build leadership skills among muslim young individuals.

- Build a platform for connection, mentorship, and collaboration.

- Partner with organizations to host impactful events that foster unity and engagement.

- Support and strengthen Muslim student associations (MSAs) and youth groups through guidance and future grant-based programs.

HOW IT CAME TO BE

Ihsan California began as a local college MSA event aimed at bringing students together for a cause. That event grew to include MSAs across the county, then across Southern California.

As the vision expanded, founders Yusuf Hoda and Obadah Hajjar recognized the need for something lasting, a platform that builds unity beyond campuses.

From there, Ihsan was born abd built to connect the Youth through faith, service, connections through the principle of ihsan.
